Based on what Black Panther's costume designer, Ruth E. Carter, mentioned in the design process, she first decided to study and do research on the culture's legacy in the film before starting the design process; hence, I was able to reflect and learn that prior to designing, ensure that all parts are relevant (culture, period, theme, and even demographic appropriate and relevant)

As a result, this explains my entire design approach: Out of all the Steampunk clothes, I carefully chosen the ones that are distinctive, acceptable, and appropriate within the category of Children's casual wear fashion. -- Jumpers, Ruffles, Long Striped socks, and a colorful palette.

This also applies to many of the clothing pieces I chose: the Steampunk clothing elements were carefully assessed and based on what is required for this fashion design task, particularly, its relevance to present day times.
